Upright Carry-on Luggages

The reliability of two-wheel travel

Upright luggage is defined by a two-wheel layout that requires you to tilt the bag to move it. This classic design is often preferred for its durability, as the wheels are usually recessed into the frame, protecting them from rough handling and uneven sidewalks. These bags are built to be pulled behind you, making them stable companions on cobblestones or thick carpets where four-wheelers might struggle.

The listings here feature a strong emphasis on softside construction. Brands like American Tourister and Eagle Creek use rugged fabrics that can flex slightly when you are trying to fit that one last souvenir into your bag. Many of these models also include front-opening compartments, which are convenient for storing a jacket or a tablet.

Selecting the right rolling bag

If you prefer a bag that stays exactly where you park it without rolling away on a slope, these two-wheel uprights are the right choice. The 22 in models from Travelpro or New York XPress offer a bit more vertical space while still meeting the requirements for most domestic flights. For those who need a complete travel solution, the 3-piece sets provide coordinated bags for different trip lengths.
